Oman today_ Tractor Iran secured its second-place position in their AFC Champions League group before the conclusion of the sixth matchweek.

On Monday night at Yadegar-e Emam Stadium in Tabriz, Dragan Skočić’s team claimed their fourth consecutive group-stage victory by defeating Al-Duhail of Qatar. After six matches, Tractor sits in second place with 14 points, trailing only Al-Hilal, who have 18 points.

Al-Wahda of the UAE, who had previously earned four wins and a draw, faced Al-Gharafa of Qatar on Monday night without their coach José Morais. They lost 1-0 on the road, remaining on 13 points and failing to overtake Tractor for second place in the group.

As a result, Tractor has a strong chance of maintaining their second-place standing with two group-stage matches remaining against Al-Sadd and Al-Gharafa. Holding this position could also give them a more favorable draw in the Round of 16. Currently, Al-Wahda and Al-Ahli of Saudi Arabia are just one point behind Tractor, and Shabab Al-Ahli may also join the contenders soon.
