The event was hosted by Sharona Nazarian, the Iranian-born mayor of Beverly Hills, and attended by a number of artists, including Sina Sarlak and Nazanin Boniadi. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the City of Beverly Hills presented Googoosh with a commemorative plaque honoring her lifelong contributions to the arts and culture, as well as her enduring impact on Iranian music. She attended the event wearing a suit valued at approximately 5,000 dollars from the brand Alexander McQueen.
