Oman today_ The Royal Opera House Muscat has unveiled its lineup of artistic and cultural performances for the month of December as part of its ongoing 2025–2026 season. The program brings together a blend of ballet, orchestral music, and festive shows, featuring the ballet “Coppélia”, an Omani Night showcasing the works of Sayyid Khalid bin Hamad Al Busaidi, the acrobatic spectacle “Symphony of Lights”, and a concert by the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra. Family-oriented events such as “The Magic of the Wings” and “Let’s Read” are also included in the schedule.
On Thursday, the Royal Opera House Muscat will present Omani Night, offering audiences an evening immersed in the music and compositions of Sayyid Khalid bin Hamad Al Busaidi. Distinguished Omani artists, accompanied by musicians from the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra, will revive Oman’s musical, vocal, and cultural heritage.
The children’s performance “The Magic of the Wings” will be held the following Thursday, giving young attendees the chance to explore the world behind the theatre curtain and discover the secrets of stagecraft—including lighting, sound, and costume design—guided by experts at the Royal Opera House Muscat. The “Let’s Read” session, designed to spark imagination through engaging storytelling about some of the world’s most famous explorers, will take place on Saturday, December 20, 2025.
The acrobatic spectacular “Symphony of Lights” will take the stage on Thursday and Friday, December 18 and 19, 2025. The show will combine aerial performances with modern lighting, visual effects, and gravity-defying movements to create a captivating celebration suitable for all ages.
The year will conclude on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, with a musical evening performed by the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra. Pianist Behzod Abduraimov and violinist Elli Choi will join the orchestra for a night filled with artistic brilliance.
Meanwhile, the exhibition “The Rhythm of Life”, which opened on November 19 at the House of Musical Arts, continues to welcome visitors. The exhibition showcases artistic displays that offer insights into Oman’s musical heritage and will remain open until February 7, 2026.
