Oman today_ Mehdi Mahdavikia, the former star of Iranian football, has been invited to attend the 2026 FIFA World Cup draw. The event will take place on Friday evening in Washington, D.C., and the Iranian delegation is already en route to the United States.
Amir Ghalenoei, head coach of the national team, Omid Jamali, head of the International Department of the Iranian Football Federation, and Mehdi Mohammadi, team manager and vice president of the federation, will represent Iran at the ceremony. In addition, Mahdavikia, with his outstanding career in German football and international recognition, will participate as another prominent Iranian figure, adding further prestige and excitement to the event.
