Oman today_ The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in the Islamic Republic of Iran held a special reception on the occasion of Oman’s National Day. During the event, Sayyid Yarub Qahtan Al Busaidi, the Ambassador of Oman to Iran, highlighted the significance of National Day, calling it a symbol of his country’s pride in its ancient history. He noted that this history dates back to November 20, 1744, when the Founding Imam Ahmad bin Said Al Busaidi raised the banner of national unity.

The Omani Ambassador also emphasized his country’s diplomatic approach, which is based on dialogue, respect for the UN Charter, and international law. He stressed the importance of resolving disputes through peaceful means, avoiding escalation, and prioritizing wisdom.

The event was attended by Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, several Iranian officials, and heads of diplomatic missions. It featured visual presentations and documentaries that showcased Oman’s tourism attractions and economic potential across all its Wilayats and Governorates, as well as opportunities for tourism and investment in the country.
