Oman today_ Disney’s Zootopia 2 earned $10.2 million on its first night of release in the United States, marking the studio’s second-highest opening ever after Moana 2. The film ranks eighth among the top-grossing previews in history and is projected to reach around $125 million in its first five days of release, with total global earnings expected to exceed $270 million by the end of next week.

Last year, three films—Moana 2, Wicked, and Gladiator 2—set a five-day box office record of $424.9 million, but this year, despite Zootopia 2 and Wicked: For Good, there is still a noticeable absence of a film primarily targeting male audiences.

In China, Zootopia 2 is aiming to break records for the highest-grossing opening day and the largest single-day earnings for an American animated film, with daily sales expected to reach $34 million.

Audience ratings on Maoyan stand at 9.7, and critic ratings on Douban are 8.7. Maoyan predicts that Zootopia 2 will achieve a total global box office of approximately $340 million.
