Oman today_ Paris Saint-Germain has reached a unique and unprecedented milestone in the world of football, establishing itself in a league of its own. The French club has now surpassed giants like Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich by claiming all major continental and global individual awards in a single year, earning what is being called football’s “Grand Slam.”

The final piece of this remarkable achievement came with Achraf Hakimi, who on Wednesday night in Rabat was named the African Player of the Year at the Africa Ballon d’Or ceremony. This award was not only a personal triumph for Hakimi but also made PSG the first club in history to simultaneously hold the French Ballon d’Or (Ousmane Dembélé), the Asian Ballon d’Or (Lee Kang-In), the African Ballon d’Or (Achraf Hakimi), and the Youth Ballon d’Or (equivalent to the Golden Boy award won by Désiré Doué) in a single year.

These accomplishments unfolded as Dembélé received France’s sixth Ballon d’Or on September 22, followed less than a month later by Lee Kang-In being named Asia’s Best International Player. With 162 votes from the Confederation of African Football members, Hakimi was chosen as the continent’s top player, completing PSG’s individual award collection for 2025.

Under the guidance of Luis Enrique, Paris Saint-Germain became the third club in football history to simultaneously hold both the French Ballon d’Or and the African Ballon d’Or; previously, only AC Milan in 1995 and Barcelona in 2005 had achieved this feat.

The year 2025 will undoubtedly remain historic for Hakimi, the city of Paris, and PSG. This achievement not only cements the status of its players but also etches Paris Saint-Germain’s name in the global football record books as an extraordinary and unmatched club.
