Oman today_ FC Barcelona plans to hold a training session with a limited number of fans next week at the newly renovated Spotify Nou Camp Stadium. The aim of this session is to give club members the opportunity to see the stadium’s upgrades and new facilities up close and to get closer to the team ahead of the official reopening.
According to reports from Sport and confirmed by Marca, the proposal is currently under review and awaiting final approval. The planned session could also serve as a trial run for the first home game at the Nou Camp following the upcoming FIFA break. Barcelona’s return to the stadium for its first home match is scheduled for November 22 against Athletic Bilbao.
The open training session is expected to take place on Friday, November 7, two days before the team faces Celta Vigo at Balaídos. However, no final decision has been made yet.
Earlier, on October 17, the club received initial approval for Phase 1A but decided to wait until Phase 1B approval and increased capacity are granted. Currently, the Barcelona city council allows fans only in the tribune and goal sections, accommodating approximately 27,000 spectators. Once Phase 1B approval is obtained, the stadium’s capacity will increase to 45,000 fans.
