Oman today_ Nike has unveiled its latest innovation, Project Amplify, a sneaker that the company describes as the world’s first powered athletic shoe. Unlike what one might expect, this shoe is not designed solely for professional athletes; everyday users can also use it to move faster and more comfortably while expending less energy.
Inside the shoe, a motor, power-transmitting belt, and rechargeable battery are integrated, and by leveraging robotic technology, it strengthens the leg muscles and provides the wearer with an experience akin to having two additional muscles in the calves. The design of the shoe ensures that natural foot movement is preserved while enhancing physical performance, all without the need for complex training or additional equipment.
