Oman today_ The Omran Group celebrated its 20th anniversary, announcing exciting developments for the future of tourism in Oman during the event. The ceremony was attended by Salim bin Mohammed al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, and showcased significant progress across the group’s various tourism projects.
Key announcements included an agreement with VA Group to develop a mixed-use project at the Sultan Qaboos Port waterfront, as well as the launch of three new partnerships under the Yiti Integrated Tourism Development. These include two mixed-use projects with VA Group and Aurelian Group, and a luxury hotel under the global Nobu brand in collaboration with Enevória Development.
Plans for the Sultan Qaboos Port waterfront include a retail pavilion, a Heritage Hotel, and residential units with a marina, with the overall design prepared by the renowned London-based Grimshaw Architects.
Additionally, a partnership with the Oman Agriculture Development Company was announced to develop Janaen Salalah, the first integrated agri-tourism project of its kind in the Sultanate.
Design models for several major projects, including Madinat Al Irfan, the Sultan Qaboos Port Waterfront, the upcoming Four Seasons Resort, and the Opera District, were also unveiled during the event, giving the public a clear vision of the future of tourism in Oman.
