Oman today_ The Royal Opera House Muscat has unveiled its 2025–2026 season, featuring over 50 events in opera, Arab music, orchestral concerts, ballet, jazz, family shows, and cultural festivals, running from October 2025 to May 2026. The season opens with the world premiere opera “Sindbad: The Omani Sailor,” which showcases Omani heritage on the international stage. Following this, audiences can enjoy productions such as Tosca and Don Pasquale, celebrations for Omani Women’s Day with Diana Haddad, Omani Night, and concerts by artists including Rabeh Saqer, Khalid El Sheikh, Ahmed El Jumairy, and Abeer Nehme.
Orchestral highlights include a collaboration between the Hungarian Orchestra and the Oman Traditional Music Ensemble, the New Year’s Eve Gala, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony in a two-piano arrangement, and The Lion King Live in Concert with orchestral accompaniment. In dance, Coppélia ballet and Spanish flamenco performances take the stage. The Military Music Festival and Folk Music Festival, alongside jazz concerts and global music acts, add further vibrancy to the calendar. Family-friendly shows such as Cinderella on Ice and The Underwater Bubble Show are also featured.
Alongside performances, the season offers educational workshops, “Open House” days, performances with sign language, and the exhibition “Rhythm of Life – Richness and Diversity in Omani Arts”, ensuring culture is accessible to all.
