Oman today_ For the sixth consecutive month, YouTube has secured the title of the most-watched streaming service in the United States. According to data released by Nielsen, 13.4% of all video content viewed on television by American audiences comes from YouTube.
However, it should be noted that Nielsen’s data only covers smart televisions. Since a significant portion of Americans watch YouTube on mobile phones and other devices, the platform’s actual audience is considerably larger than the official figures suggest.
In July, Disney ranked second with 9.4% of television viewership. Nielsen highlighted that the 4% gap between YouTube and Disney represents the widest margin recorded since the organization began tracking smart TV usage.
Netflix followed in third place with an 8.8% share. Interestingly, it registered the highest growth in viewing time, with a total of 215,000 minutes watched. Meanwhile, Amazon claimed fourth place with 3.9% of viewers, boosted by titles such as The Summer I Turned Pretty.
