Oman today_ The Central Bank of Oman has issued a silver commemorative coin to mark the “Oman Vision 2040,” symbolizing the country’s goals for sustainable development and comprehensive growth under prudent leadership and forward-looking planning.
The coin’s unique design reflects Oman’s national identity. The obverse features the Omani Khanjar emblem, the country’s name, the Central Bank of Oman, the denomination in both Arabic and English, and the year of minting. The reverse displays the “Oman Vision 2040” logo in color, along with elements inspired by the visual identity of the vision.
This issuance is part of the Central Bank’s efforts to celebrate national milestones and raise public awareness of the objectives of “Oman Vision 2040,” a framework guiding the country toward sustainable progress and economic prosperity.
The commemorative coins are legal tender at their face value and are available from 18 August at the Central Bank of Oman branches in Ruwi, Salalah, and Sohar, as well as through Oman Post’s sales counter at Opera Galleria.
