Oman today_ Oman Air and Turkish Airlines have announced a new collaboration within the framework of their Frequent Flyer Programs—an initiative that, according to executives from both carriers, will significantly enhance the travel experience for passengers. This agreement allows members of both airlines’ loyalty programs to earn more miles, enjoy a wider range of benefits, and gain access to an expanded network of international destinations.
Under this partnership, members of Turkish Airlines’ Miles&Smiles program can now travel to key destinations in Oman, including Muscat, Salalah, and Khasab, as well as connect to the entire Oman Air network. Conversely, members of Oman Air’s Sindbad program will be able to take advantage of Turkish Airlines’ extensive global network, which spans dozens of destinations across Türkiye, Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the Americas.
Mike Rutter, Chief Commercial Officer at Oman Air, described the agreement as a significant step in enhancing the value of the Sindbad program and expanding the airline’s global reach. He emphasized that the primary goal is to deliver more rewarding and enjoyable travel experiences for guests worldwide. He added that such partnerships are part of Oman Air’s broader strategy to elevate its international standing and attract more loyal travelers.
Ahmet Olmuştur, Chief Commercial Officer at Turkish Airlines, noted that the agreement will make access to the Miles&Smiles program easier for travelers and create greater opportunities for both business and leisure travel. According to him, this collaboration not only offers a competitive advantage for both airlines but also takes the passenger travel experience to the next level.
This partnership reflects the shared commitment of both carriers to delivering high-quality service, innovating within their loyalty programs, and strengthening global connectivity. In line with this vision, Oman Air is continuing to expand its network by adding new destinations such as Rome and Amsterdam, increasing flight frequencies on key routes like London and Moscow, and deepening its codeshare agreements with leading international airlines.
These developments demonstrate that both airlines are not only seeking to grow their share of the global aviation market but are also focused on making air travel more seamless, rewarding, and memorable for their passengers.
