Oman today_ In the final match of the 2025 Volleyball Nations League held on Sunday evening in China, Poland’s national team delivered a dominant performance to defeat Italy in straight sets and claim the championship title.
Under the leadership of coach Nikola Grbić, the Polish team won with set scores of 25–22, 25–19, and 25–14, securing the victory without dropping a single set. This marks Poland’s second gold medal in the history of the Volleyball Nations League.
The match was one of the rare finals to end in a 3–0 result. Prior to this, only the 2018 final had seen a similar outcome, when Russia swept France. In this year’s final, Italy failed to win even a single set and finished as runners-up.
With this victory, Poland was awarded a prize of $1 million, while Italy took home $500,000.
