Oman today_ Disney has officially released the first trailer for Avatar: Fire and Ash, directed by James Cameron. The trailer comes a few weeks after a limited cinema-only preview and the leak of a low-quality version that was shown ahead of The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
This new installment introduces the “Ash People,” a new tribe representing a more peace-oriented side of Pandora, positioned in contrast to the “Fire People.” The story focuses on Jake Sully and his family joining forces with the oceanic Metkayina clan to stand against the militarized Resources Development Administration.
The main cast includes Sam Worthington (Jake Sully), Zoe Saldaña (Neytiri), Sigourney Weaver (Kiri), Stephen Lang (Colonel Miles Quaritch), Giovanni Ribisi (Parker Selfridge), Kate Winslet (Ronal), Cliff Curtis (Tonowari), Joel David Moore (Dr. Norm Spellman), Edie Falco (General Frances Ardmore), Brendan Cowell (Captain Mick Scoresby), Jemaine Clement (Dr. Ian Garvin), Britain Dalton (Lo’ak), and Bailey Bass (Tsireya).
Avatar: Fire and Ash is set for release on December 19, 2025. Additionally, two more sequels—Avatar 4 and Avatar 5—are currently in development and scheduled for release in December 2029 and December 2031, respectively. The second film in the series, The Way of Water, was produced with a budget of $400 million and grossed over $2 billion worldwide.
