Oman today_ Netflix has released the official trailer for the second season of Wednesday. In the trailer, the main character, Wednesday Addams—played by Jenna Ortega—returns once again to Nevermore Academy. In one of the key scenes, Morticia Addams, portrayed by Catherine Zeta-Jones, asks her how it feels to be back, to which Wednesday replies coldly, “It’s like returning to the scene of the crime. I already know where the bodies are buried.”
The series, a spinoff from the world of The Addams Family, centers on Wednesday as she learns to navigate her supernatural abilities within the mysterious and tense environment of Nevermore Academy. The first season, produced and directed by Tim Burton, premiered in November 2022 and was met with widespread acclaim.
In the upcoming season, Tim Burton returns to direct four episodes, while Alfred Gough and Miles Millar reprise their roles as showrunners. The cast expands with several new additions, including Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, Noah Taylor, and Lady Gaga. They join returning cast members Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Hunter Doohan, Moosa Mostafa, Victor Dorobantu, Isaac Ordonez, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Season 2 of Wednesday is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on August 6, 2025.
