Oman today_ The Oman Airports Company introduced the development plan for Salalah Airport City during a specialized workshop. This project, designed to attract investments and boost economic growth in the Dhofar Governorate, forms a key part of Oman’s strategy for economic diversification.
The event was attended by government officials and private sector representatives, who emphasized the importance of coordinated planning to achieve sustainable development. According to the initial plans, the airport city will host major economic sectors with diverse functionalities.
Engineer Salim Al-Harassi, Senior Infrastructure Projects Manager, highlighted the project’s critical role in linking sectors such as tourism and logistics. He confirmed that the development plan aligns with the national objectives for integrated development. A preliminary timeline for the project’s implementation was also presented during the workshop.
