Oman today_ Hans-Dieter Flick, the German head coach of FC Barcelona, has been named the Best Coach of the 2024/2025 La Liga season by EA SPORTS. This award is jointly presented by La Liga and Microsoft. Flick achieved this recognition after a highly successful debut season leading the Catalan club.
According to an official statement from La Liga, Barcelona secured the league title with 88 points, finishing ahead of Real Madrid. The team delivered an impressive and distinctive style of play throughout the season.
Barcelona lost only six of their 38 league matches and scored 102 goals, setting a new record for the most goals scored by any team across Europe’s top five leagues. Moreover, the club’s all-time La Liga goal tally reached 6,579, making them the highest-scoring team in the history of the competition.
During the season, Flick also earned the Coach of the Month award three times. He outperformed strong rivals such as José Bordalás (Getafe), Manolo (Espanyol), Manuel Pellegrini (Real Betis), Míchel (Girona), Ernesto Valverde (Athletic Bilbao), and Diego Simeone (Atlético Madrid) to claim the title of the league’s best coach for the season.
