Organizers stated that the decision respects the festival’s decorum and prevents displays that highlight the body more than the clothing design.
The updated festival charter requires reception teams to deny access to those who violate the rules. Oversized dresses with long trains are also banned as they disrupt movement and seating.
Approved attire includes formal suits, long dresses, cocktail dresses, and dark suits, along with stylish shoes or sandals.
Starting on Tuesday, the festival remains a key global cinematic event, with these new regulations aimed at maintaining its dignity and order.
