Oman today_ The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology of Oman has announced a special investment opportunity for the construction, management, and operation of a luxury yacht marina in Quriyat, located in the Governorate of Muscat. This project, which forms part of Oman’s comprehensive marine tourism development strategy, aims to attract both domestic and international investments, enhance luxury port services, and strengthen coastal tourism infrastructure.
The ministry’s Domestic Investment Committee has invited companies and investors with proven experience in developing maritime ports to submit their proposals for the implementation of this major tourism project.
According to the official announcement, the tender documents will be available for purchase from May 12 to June 22, 2025. The inquiry response period will run from June 18 to July 6, while the final deadline for submitting proposals is set for 12:00 PM on August 17, 2025.
Submitted proposals must comply with all requirements outlined in the tender documents, be formally signed and stamped, remain valid for a minimum of 12 months, and be submitted in PDF format to the designated email address.
Leveraging Oman’s extensive potential in marine tourism, including its over 3,000 kilometers of coastline, this initiative is a critical step toward attracting investments and developing port infrastructure. Similar projects, such as the development of Shinas Port and the establishment of new marinas along other coastal areas, have also gained attention in recent years.
