Oman today_ Muscat Municipality has initiated the contract for the development of the Ruwi Commercial District Project to enhance the commercial neighborhoods in this area of Muscat. The project, which will cover an area of 360,000 square meters, is set to be completed within 16 months.
The project will include 6,500 square meters of green spaces, shaded seating areas, and 2,458 new parking slots to ease traffic flow. Additionally, 101,000 square meters of pedestrian walkways and the installation of new smart infrastructure will be incorporated. To enhance public convenience, service kiosks and modern restrooms will also be provided.
The goal of this project is to improve the quality of life for residents, develop infrastructure, and attract investors. City officials believe this project will stimulate the local economy and create new business opportunities for local enterprises.
