Oman today_ Oman is taking part in the 30th International Book and Publishing Fair held in Rabat (the capital of Morocco). The fair will continue until April 27, 2025. Oman’s primary goals for this participation are to strengthen its presence in global book fairs, promote Omani intellectual and cultural works to an international audience, and attract broader attention.
Oman’s pavilion at the fair features a collection of the latest publications from the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, as well as contributions from various governmental and civil society organizations. These publications cover a wide range of topics, including history, literature, linguistics, medicine, culture, jurisprudence, media, heritage, and tourism, catering to readers of all age groups.
The Omani pavilion has received significant attention from visitors and widespread media coverage. Another key objective of this participation is to enhance cultural cooperation with Morocco, introduce Omani authors and publishers to the Arab world, and exchange experiences in authorship, publishing, and book production.
This fair is recognized as one of the region’s most important cultural events, annually gathering prominent figures from the publishing industry. It provides a valuable platform for forging new partnerships, exploring the latest global publishing trends, and fostering dialogue and cultural exchange.
