Oman today_ The UEFA Champions League has reached the quarterfinal stage, with the continent’s top teams set to compete for a place in the Munich final. UEFA has also announced the host for the 2027 season’s final.
According to the schedule, this year’s final will be held at the Allianz Arena in Munich, while next year’s final will take place at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest. For 2027, the Estadio Cívitas Metropolitano, home to Atlético Madrid, has been selected as the host venue. This announcement was made by Rafael Louzán, President of the Spanish Football Federation.
The Olympic Stadium in Baku was also a contender for hosting the 2027 final, but the Metropolitano ultimately won the bid. The stadium has previously hosted the Champions League final in 2019, when Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool defeated Tottenham 2–0 to claim the title.
With a seating capacity of 70,000, the Metropolitano is also set to be one of the venues for the 2030 FIFA World Cup. However, Atlético Madrid’s management has expressed reservations about hosting World Cup matches, and there is a possibility that this responsibility might be transferred to the city of Valencia.
