Oman today_ Cristiano Ronaldo has no intention of leaving Saudi Arabia’s football scene and, as he promised, he will not return to European football. His current contract, which runs until June 2025, is expected to be extended.
Al Nassr has decided to renew the contract of the Portuguese legend for another year, with an option to extend it for a second year as well.
Ronaldo, who joined Al Nassr in the middle of the 2022 season, has already won the Saudi King’s Cup with the team.
While the financial details of the new contract have not been disclosed, it seems that the terms will be similar to his previous agreement.
Ronaldo recently turned 40 and scored his first goal in his new decade of life during a match against Al Feiha.
The Portuguese striker has scored 88 goals for Al Nassr so far and holds the record for the most goals scored in a single Saudi Pro League season. He broke the previous record held by Moroccan striker Abderrazak Hamdallah of Al Shabab and continues to extend his legacy.
