Oman today_ Veronique Nichanian introduced the Fall-Winter 2025 men’s collection for Hermès, drawing inspiration from Racing Silks and reflecting the atmosphere of horse racing in the show. Hermès, which began its journey with the creation of saddles, incorporated the idea of horse racing to infuse “power and energy” into the collection.
The dominant colors of the collection included dark and earthy tones such as deep brown, navy, and gray, contrasted with lighter shades like bright red, yellow, and various hues of gray. This color palette was evident in wool coats, velvet jackets, and leather suits. The collection also featured zippered sweaters and jackets with angular geometric patterns, such as polygonal and triangular designs. These patterns, inspired by the attire of jockeys, harmonized with the architecture of the Palais d’Iéna, the venue for the show.
Nichanian stated that this season saw the use of lighter fabrics to give the garments a simpler and more comfortable appearance. Even the gray-striped suits were designed with delicate cuts to reduce the excess weight of the fabric. The collection also included practical details like balaclavas and large bags. Hermès has always focused on the functionality of its garments, and in this collection, trench coats made of leather and neutral colors with new textures and modern designs were included. Overall, this collection achieved a balance between warmth, practicality, and minimalist designs.
