Oman today_ Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese star, has extended his contract with Al-Nassr for another year. However, reports suggest that he has entered into an agreement that goes beyond the club and even professional football, committing to play a role in Saudi Arabia’s World Cup hosting projects until 2034.
According to published details, Ronaldo’s new contract with Al-Nassr is worth approximately €200 million. In addition, he has been appointed as the official ambassador for Saudi Arabia’s 2034 World Cup. Interestingly, this role is not tied exclusively to Al-Nassr; even if Ronaldo joins another team, such as Al-Hilal, or retires from football altogether, his ambassadorial duties will continue.
Under this eight-year agreement, Ronaldo will take on various responsibilities, including inviting prominent global figures and promoting the World Cup across the globe. Despite this, he has not yet made any decisions about coaching and seems more inclined toward pursuing managerial roles.
This significant deal appears to be a bold step by Saudi Arabia in its efforts to promote and prepare for hosting the World Cup on a global scale.
