The Paris Saint-Germain star, following his Ballon d’Or win, completed an unforgettable year with an individual double by receiving “The Best” award and was recognized as the world’s top male footballer. After accepting the honor, Dembélé thanked his teammates and everyone who voted for him.

The FIFA “The Best” ceremony was held in grand style, beginning with a video showcasing the year’s most important moments, followed by a welcome speech from FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who emphasized that the event celebrates the very best players, coaches, and teams. In the Men’s Player of the Year category, Dembélé competed against Kylian Mbappé and Lamin Yamal, ultimately emerging on top to take the night’s main award. The Women’s Player of the Year award went to Aitana Bonmatí, who, due to injury, could not attend the ceremony and received her trophy at Camp Nou, expressing her gratitude to FIFA for winning the title for the second consecutive time. The other nominees in this category were Aitana Bonmatí, Mariona Caldentey, and Alexia Putellas.

In the coaches’ category, Luis Enrique was named Men’s Coach of the Year, an award decided by nearly one million votes, and was presented with the trophy by Arsène Wenger on behalf of Paris Saint-Germain’s manager.
