Oman today_ The first season of The Studio, an Apple TV+ production, made history at the Emmy Awards, earning the title of the most awarded new comedy. With 23 nominations, the series set a new record and ultimately walked away with 13 wins, including Best Comedy Series, Lead Actor, Directing, Writing, Casting, and Guest Actor, placing it firmly at the top of the winners’ list. Previously, The Bear held the record with 10 awards.
One of the night’s most memorable moments was Seth Rogen’s victory for Best Lead Actor in a Comedy. In The Studio, Rogen plays the head of a Hollywood company. Accepting the award with excitement and humor, he admitted he had never won anything before and hadn’t even prepared a speech. He thanked his colleagues, fellow cast members, his wife, and his representatives, warmly adding that he didn’t know what else to say except that he was overjoyed and grateful.
Interestingly, he did not thank the studio that produced the series—an omission that drew attention since one of the show’s episodes revolves around that very subject. To win, Rogen had to beat out contenders including Adam Brody (Nobody Wants This), Jason Segel (Shrinking), Martin Short (Only Murders in the Building), and Jeremy Allen White (The Bear).
