Oman today_ The COMEX 2025 International Technology Exhibition has officially kicked off in Muscat. The four-day event is being held with the participation of senior Omani officials and the support of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.
During the opening ceremony, several key digital initiatives were unveiled, including the establishment of a dedicated Artificial Intelligence Zone, the launch of the Green AI Alliance in collaboration with public and private sector entities, and the Digital Triangle Project.
Agreements worth RO 42 million were signed at the exhibition, alongside the introduction of new services such as a mobile application, a smart assistant, and the National Open Data Portal.
One of the most notable achievements was the unveiling of Oman’s first AI language model, “Maeen,” designed to enhance efficiency and strengthen the country’s digital sovereignty.
With the participation of more than 140 start-ups, 200 companies, and delegations from various countries, COMEX 2025 has become a platform for showcasing the latest advancements in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and digital innovation.
The event also highlighted a historic achievement: the successful test launch of Oman’s first space rocket, the “Duqm-1 mission,” with extensive participation from Omani manpower—a milestone in the nation’s technological progress.
COMEX 2025 reflects Oman’s determination to establish itself as a regional leader in innovation and the digital economy, in alignment with the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
