Oman today_ Lady Gaga has released a new song titled Dead Dance to coincide with the launch of Part 2 of Wednesday Season 2 on Netflix. The track, which premiered alongside its official music video, carries a dark and theatrical tone that perfectly matches the series’ atmosphere.
In this season, Gaga not only contributes musically but also takes on the role of Rosaline Rathwood, under the direction and production of Tim Burton. At one point in the song, she sings: “When you pulled me from the ship, that’s when I came alive… You created the creature of the night, and now I claim your breath, your soul, and your eyes.”
Dead Dance was co-written with Andrew Watt and Henry Walter and was previewed for the first time last week at a special event hosted by Netflix and Spotify.
Alongside Gaga’s new track, the latest part of the series also features songs like Miss You by Rapture, Walk Don’t Run by The Surfaris, and Boombayah by BLACKPINK.
At the Season 2 premiere, Gaga shared that although her role was small, she deeply enjoyed the experience, highlighting her collaboration with Tim Burton, Jenna Ortega, and the rest of the cast and crew.
Part 2 of Wednesday Season 2 became available on Netflix on Wednesday, September 3.
