Oman today_ Oman’s national team played its second match in Group A of the CAFA Nations Cup 2025 against Kyrgyzstan and secured a 2-1 victory at Jar Stadium in Tashkent.
In the first half, Kyrgyzstan took the lead in the 24th minute through Temirlan Kozubaev, assisted by Gulzhigit Alykulov. However, the momentum shifted dramatically in stoppage time of the second half, when Issam Al-Sabahi struck twice in the 90+2 and 90+5 minutes to turn the game around in Oman’s favor and deliver three valuable points for his side.
This victory came under the guidance of Carlos Queiroz, the Portuguese coach and former manager of Iran’s national team, and the result could further strengthen his and his team’s position as the tournament progresses.
