Oman today_ On the occasion of the Prophet Mohammed’s (PBUH) Birthday, Sunday, 7 September 2025 (14 Rabi’ Al Awwal 1447 AH) has been declared a public holiday across Oman. The holiday will apply to all employees in government institutions, legal entities, and private sector establishments.
The Ministry of Labour further stated that, if necessary, employers may require their staff to work on this day, provided that appropriate compensation is given. Official work and administrative activities will resume as usual on Monday, 8 September 2025.
