Oman today_ Oman Airports has announced the launch of a new direct air route between Salalah and Abu Dhabi, operated by Wizz Air Abu Dhabi. This connection, linking Abu Dhabi International Airport with Salalah Airport, is part of a broader effort to strengthen air connectivity in southern Oman, particularly during the busy Khareef season.
According to the plan, this low-cost airline will operate seven weekly flights along this route — a move expected to facilitate travel for both residents and tourists while contributing to the growth of the region’s tourism sector.
The introduction of this regular service reflects the increasing interest of international carriers in Salalah’s tourism and economic potential, reinforcing the city’s role as a key gateway to the south of the Sultanate.
