Oman today_ The Haute Couture Fashion Week for the Fall/Winter 2025 season has recently kicked off in Paris, with Schiaparelli being one of the first fashion houses to unveil its new collection titled “Back to the Future.”
One of the most talked-about pieces in the show was a striking red look designed to resemble an inverted human torso. The outfit featured a heart-shaped necklace that closely mimicked the anatomy of a real human heart, complete with a mechanical mechanism that recreated a rhythmic heartbeat.
This design was inspired by Salvador Dalí’s 1949 artwork The Royal Heart, a piece crafted from gold and precious stones that included a mechanism simulating a real heartbeat. Daniel Roseberry, Schiaparelli’s creative director, created this necklace as a tribute to Dalí and his close friendship with Elsa Schiaparelli. The unusual appearance and intricate details of the piece have sparked a wide range of reactions from both audiences and the media.
