Oman today_ An Omani company, following the successful trial of hot air balloon flights in Cappadocia, Turkey, is set to launch commercial balloon tours in the Bidiyah area in northeastern Oman. This initiative aims to offer tourists a unique experience while showcasing the breathtaking desert landscapes and surrounding scenery.
The project, undertaken by Oman Balloons in collaboration with the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, is part of the country’s efforts to expand and diversify its tourism offerings. For this purpose, the balloons have been developed in partnership with a Turkish manufacturer specializing in certified hot air balloons.
Salim bin Sultan Al-Abri, CEO of Oman Balloons, highlighted the success of the initial trial and stated that the balloons have been designed specifically to suit Oman’s weather conditions. With a capacity of 20 passengers, these flights will provide safe and unforgettable journeys, operated by experienced pilots. The initiative has also received approval from the Civil Aviation Authority, ensuring full readiness to welcome tourists.
