Oman today_ The Environment Authority of Oman has announced the launch of the smart and advanced “Naqi” application, designed for real-time monitoring of air quality and providing accurate environmental data. This initiative, introduced ahead of World Environment Day (June 5), represents an important step toward raising public awareness about air pollution levels and the significance of environmental protection.
The “Naqi” app offers a range of advanced features to its users. Through interactive maps, users can check the air quality status in different areas and access detailed information on pollution indicators such as particulate matter PM2.5 and PM10, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and other pollutants. One of the app’s key features is a color-coded alert system that visually and clearly displays the current pollution levels. Additionally, weather-related information is available within the app to help users make more informed decisions.
Designed for both iOS and Android devices, the app supports Arabic and English languages, ensuring a wide range of users can easily benefit from its functionalities. The launch of this application is part of Oman’s broader efforts to enhance transparency in environmental data and promote social responsibility regarding environmental issues.
