Oman today_ Oman Airports has introduced a new initiative in celebration of Logistics Day 2025, offering travelers the opportunity to use the P5 long-term parking at Muscat International Airport for just 1 Omani Rial per day. This offer began on April 30 and will continue until September 30, 2025, coinciding with the “Khareef” (rainy season) tourist season.
The aim of this initiative is to facilitate access for travelers and reduce travel costs, and it has been widely welcomed. Additionally, Oman Airports has plans to promote local products within airport commercial spaces, including discounts and special offers at the “Souq Oman” store, featuring dates, traditional sweets, and other local products.
Moreover, a new “Buy and Collect” service has been launched at the airports’ duty-free shops, allowing travelers to collect their online purchases either before their flight or upon their return. Duty-free shops are located in airports, enabling passengers to buy items like perfumes, chocolates, and cosmetics without paying taxes and duties.
Lastly, Oman’s logistics industry contributed 2.25 billion Omani Rials to the country’s GDP in 2024, and it is expected to reach 36 billion Rials by 2040.
