Oman today_ Ahmed Al-Hamidi, the Head of Muscat Municipality, announced that the tallest flagpole in Oman will be officially inaugurated next month in Al Khuwair Square, Muscat.
This landmark project, built with private sector collaboration and costing approximately $10 million, will stand as one of the new urban symbols in the capital of Oman.
The 126-meter-high flagpole is made from 135 tons of steel, with its base having a diameter of 2800 millimeters that tapers to 900 millimeters at the top.
In addition to the flagpole, the Al Khuwair Square project includes extensive green spaces, designated walking and cycling paths, and recreational and sports facilities for the citizens and residents of Oman.
This announcement was made during the 8th Annual Conference of the Oman Society for Human Resource Management (OSHRM) and represents part of Muscat’s ongoing urban development efforts.
