Oman today_ The Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ) is developing new industrial cities across Oman to expand the country’s industrial sector, attract investment, and create job opportunities for Omani youth. These projects are being implemented in collaboration with the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), which is responsible for managing industrial zones in Oman. Among the ongoing projects are Mahas in Musandam, Al Mudhaibi in the Hajar Plateau, and Thumrait in Dhofar. Additionally, tenders for the design and construction of infrastructure and various projects in these industrial cities are currently underway. These initiatives reflect the Omani government’s commitment to strengthening the industrial sector and creating better conditions for attracting foreign investment.
