Oman today_ The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has announced an overwhelming global response to the pre-sale phase of 2026 World Cup tickets. In this stage, organized in partnership with Visa, more than one million tickets were sold — setting a new record for early ticket sales in the tournament’s history.

According to FIFA’s report, fans from 212 countries purchased tickets. The highest demand came from the three host nations — the United States, Canada, and Mexico — followed by strong interest from England, Germany, Brazil, Spain, Colombia, Argentina, and France.

Gianni Infantino, FIFA President, reacted to the milestone, saying:

Surpassing one million tickets sold is an exciting moment on the road to the 2026 World Cup. This achievement, made possible through our partnership with Visa, reflects the unprecedented global passion for what will be the biggest and most inclusive World Cup in FIFA’s history.”

FIFA also announced that the first phase of general ticket sales will begin on October 27. During this period, fans will be able to purchase individual match tickets or special packages for specific stadiums and teams.
