Oman today_ At Expo 2025 in Kansai, Osaka, the Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion hosted a fashion show that drew significant attention from visitors. The event showcased a collection of outfits inspired by Oman’s natural beauty, offering a blend of authenticity and modern creativity.
The designs were rooted in traditional Omani attire but reimagined with a fresh, contemporary vision, highlighting that the culture is not only deeply rooted but also dynamic and adaptable to the times. The garments reflected the seas, mountains, and deserts of Oman, while also incorporating local crafts and historical patterns in a modern style.
Eight models presented a total of 16 creations, each narrating a story of Omani life and culture. The show was well-received by visitors, underscoring that Omani clothing, while preserving its cultural values, can also establish a strong presence on international stages.
This fashion show is part of Oman’s broader cultural and artistic program at Expo, which continues until the end of October. The main aim of the program is to present Oman’s identity to the world—an identity rooted in the past yet constantly reinventing itself for the present and future. Through these initiatives, Oman once again emphasized the role of its culture as a bridge for communication and dialogue with people across the globe.
