Oman today_ By royal decree, Prince Belarab bin Haitham presided over Oman’s National Day ceremony at the country’s pavilion during Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan, and returned to Oman yesterday. The event aimed to showcase Oman’s culture, arts, and traditions, featuring a variety of programs including military music, traditional ceremonies such as Al-Azi and Al-Razha, as well as artistic and cultural performances for visitors.

The ceremony began with the hoisting of the flags of Oman and Japan and the playing of both nations’ national anthems. Japan’s Expo Minister, Yoshitaka Ito, emphasized the strong and friendly relations between the two countries in his speech and described the Oman Pavilion’s theme, “Earth, Water, and Humanity,” as a symbol of harmonious living with nature and cultural interaction.

The Oman Pavilion, designed by young Omani talent and winner of the Belarab bin Haitham Architecture Design Award, offers visitors an interactive and inspiring experience, reflecting Oman’s culture, history, and innovative achievements. To date, more than one million people have visited the pavilion, gaining insight into Oman’s historical heritage, values of peace and tolerance, and its innovations.

Oman’s participation in Expo Osaka is part of a broader program comprising over 30 cultural, economic, and scientific events aligned with Oman Vision 2040, focusing on sustainability, innovation, energy, and investment opportunities. Expo 2025 Osaka opened on April 13, 2025, and will continue until October 13, 2025.
