Oman today_ In recent days, a headline-making story has emerged in the world of fashion and sports: after 92 years, the renowned brand Lacoste has made a major change to its logo for the very first time. Traditionally recognized by its crocodile emblem, the brand has decided to temporarily replace it with a goat in a limited-edition collection.
Founded by legendary tennis player René Lacoste, who was famously nicknamed “The Crocodile,” the brand unveiled this symbolic change just ahead of the upcoming World Tennis Championships. The gesture is meant to honor Novak Djokovic, the tennis icon who has been Lacoste’s brand ambassador for more than eight years.
In this context, the goat represents the acronym GOAT, short for “Greatest of All Time,” a title often attributed to Djokovic in the tennis world. The updated logo will feature exclusively in a special collection titled “From the Crocodile to the GOAT”, while the crocodile remains the brand’s permanent and iconic symbol.
