Oman today_ The jury members for the 78th Cannes Film Festival have been announced, marking the return of this prestigious cinematic event that once again brings together stars and outstanding works from around the world. This year, the esteemed French actress Juliette Binoche has been selected as the president of the jury. Other members of the jury include American actress Halle Berry, Indian filmmaker Payal Kapadia, Italian actress Alba Rohrwacher, French-Moroccan writer Leïla Slimani, Congolese filmmaker and producer Dieudo Hamadi, South Korean filmmaker Hong Sang-soo, Mexican filmmaker Carlos Reygadas, and American actor Jeremy Strong.
The jury is tasked with evaluating the 21 films in the competition and selecting the winners of major awards such as the Palme d’Or, the Grand Prix, the Jury Prize, as well as awards for Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Actress. The 2025 Cannes Film Festival will take place from May 13 to May 24, and cinema enthusiasts eagerly await the announcement of this year’s best works.
