Oman today_ Spring rolls are one of the most popular Asian dishes, typically served as an appetizer or snack. This delicious dish is made with thin dough or rice paper and filled with ingredients such as chopped vegetables, meat, chicken, or shrimp. You can also use lavash bread or yufka dough to make these rolls. Simply fill the dough with your desired ingredients, prepare them in advance, and store them in the fridge. The key is to place a napkin between the rolls to prevent them from sticking to each other.

This recipe is enough to make 10 rolls, each around 12 cm in size. For the dough, you’ll need 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, 2 cups of water, 2 tablespoons of oil, and a pinch of salt. For the filling, use 3 chicken fillets, 2 cups of chopped cabbage, ½ cup of grated carrot, 1 cup of mushrooms, ½ cup of green onions, 1 small onion, salt, black pepper, soy sauce, paprika, and sesame seeds. To seal the dough, mix 2 tablespoons of flour with 1 tablespoon of water to create a paste with a consistency similar to wood glue.

For a delicious dipping sauce, combine 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, ½ cup of balsamic vinegar, ½ cup of sesame seeds, 1 tablespoon of paprika, and 3 tablespoons of chopped green onions. Keep in mind that soy sauce can be salty, so be cautious when adding salt to the filling.

Rolling out the dough in a pan is very simple—just set the heat to low to medium, and you’ll easily achieve the right texture for the dough. For the best flavor, fry the rolls in oil for a crispy and tasty result. However, if you prefer a healthier option, you can bake them in the oven or air fryer without oil.

Spring rolls are a fantastic option for entertaining guests or enjoying a homemade meal that’s both tasty and different.
