Oman today_ Swiss luxury brand Jaeger-LeCoultre, in its latest collection titled Reverso Tribute Enamel, has beautifully depicted four stories from the Shahnameh of Ferdowsi, the timeless Persian epic masterpiece. This collection, set to be unveiled at the Polo Club 1931, is an artistic tribute to the culture and legends of Iran.
In this series, four unique watches with rotating dials have been designed, each with a dial measuring just 2 square centimeters. Over 100 hours of handcrafting were dedicated to creating the miniature artworks. These delicate pieces of art, combining the mesmerizing techniques of miniature painting, enamel on wood, and guilloché, beautifully showcase the fusion of Swiss watchmaking craftsmanship and Persian art.

Each miniature tells a distinct story from the Shahnameh:
“Siavash Plays Polo Against Afrasiab” reflects the Iranian origins of polo, dating back to the Safavid era.
“Fereydoun Tests His Sons in the Form of a Dragon” is a tale of loyalty and leadership in Iranian culture.
“Sam Comes to Mount Alborz” depicts the moment when Sam, having cast away his son Zal, is joined by Simurgh, the mythical bird, to raise him.
Finally, “Rostam Hunts Akvan” captures an exciting moment in the battle between the most beloved hero of the Shahnameh, Rostam, and a demon that first appears in the form of a wild donkey.
The dials of these extraordinary timepieces are adorned with 24-carat gold, and the cases are crafted from 18-carat white gold. The collection is produced in very limited quantities, with each piece valued at approximately $142,000.
